Midair 2 League 5v5 Ruleset
How The Ladder Works
Scoring: Wins are 3 points, and a loss is 1 point. Team with the most points at the end of a season wins.
Initial Rankings: Teams will be sorted on the ladder from highest avg team mu to lowest avg team mu when the season starts. If a team joins late they will enter the ladder the same way.
Total Matches: Teams will have 21 weeks to play 11 matches
Team Rosters
Roster Size: Team rosters must be at least 5 players. Players registered names must match their in-game name or be known. For a player to be eligible to play in an upcoming match player must be on the team’s roster before the attacking team issues a challenge.
Roster Changes: If a team wishes to add a player to their roster that was previously on another team, that player must be removed from their previous team for at least a week before they are eligible, and that player is not eligible to play against their previous team for at least 2 weeks.
Admins may make exceptions to the above criteria at their discretion.
Ringers: Teams may be allowed to use ringers at the admin’s discretion and only when absolutely necessary to continue a match.
Match Format
Server: Selection is based on adding each teams ping together and playing where both team averages are closest unless captains agree on a different location.
Score: Games will be played to 8 captures or the in game time limit, whichever comes first.
Matches: Matches will be best of 3. In the case of a tied map, sudden death shall be played on the map the tie occurred until the first team scores.
Map Selection
Map Pool:
- Elite
- Minora
- Ingo
- TG
- Exhumed
- Nightflare
- Bryn
- Relay
- Outpost
The map pool may change as new maps are released.
Map Selection: Defending team will select first map. Attacking team will select second map. Third map will be selected through a series of map bans starting with defending team picking to ban first or defer the first map ban to attacking team.
Challenging
How to Challenge: Look at available teams to challenge then communicate with a teams captain on discord. When two captains decide a date they need to both submit the challenge on the ladder page and offer the same date/time of match. This allows admins to confirm the match when both dates align.
Challenge Limits: Teams can challenge no more than 4 spots up or below. Must play against 3 different teams before replaying the same team twice.
Standard LT loadout onl
Weapons: Grenade Launcher, Disc, Chain and standard grenade only.
Use of a banned weapon will be addressed at the admins discretion.
Reporting Results
After match has been completed, it’s the responsibility of both team captains to report the results. The results will not go live until after both captains results are reported and those results match. Any team captain intentionally reporting wrong results or delaying reporting results may be removed from the ladder at admin’s discretion. Leave details of maps played and scores in “Comments” section.
Disputing Results
Match Recording: All teams are advised to have at least one player recording the match to help settle disputes. Disputes may not be considered without a recording.
Bugs, Server Crashes, & Exploits
Disclaimer: By competing in the competition you acknowledge the game is in development and serious bugs may occur impacting the competition. There should be no expectation that admins will take action when a bug impacts the outcome of a game or the competition except when the bug, action or scenario is listed in this document. Admins reserve the right to make additional rulings on bugs when in the spirit of fair competition.
Bugs/Server Crash Preventing the Game Continuing: If a bug or server crash occurs that prevents the game continuing teams should remake the game and play first to 3 caps, if less than 5 mins expired restart the entire game.
Exploits: Intentional use of an exploit will result in disqualification of the offending team and may result in a ban from future Midair 2 competition. Admins will have final say on whether the occurrence of a bug is the result of an intentional exploit by a team.
Disconnects: If a player disconnects, that team is responsible for pausing the match. If a player is unable to reconnect after a match has started, a sub on the teams roster or sub the opposing team or multiple admins agree with is allowed to play or a match reschedule can be agreed upon. If neither is possible beyond reason a forfeit will occur.
Broadcasting
Player Streaming: Players are encouraged but not required to stream their POV during the event. Participating players authorize the rebroadcast of any streams by official league coverage.
Spectate: Only approved casters from both teams or admin may spectate.
Rule Changes: Rules will be enforced based on the Admin’s determination. Rules may be added, modified or removed as necessary.
